Job Description

Writing coaches will hold face-to-face and/or online conferences with undergraduate students to assist them with development, organization, voice, and mechanics in the context of a variety of writing tasks. Other responsibilities include record-keeping, technology support for conferences, and regular trainings and meetings with the Center coordinator and other consultants. May also work a bit in the Alligator Juniper office. There may be an opportunity for cross-training to help with the Library Circulation assistant duties.

Job Requirements

Applicants should have, in this order of priority: 1) strong expository, academic writing skills as demonstrated by a 5-10 page writing sample; 2) a willingness to learn and apply the Strategic Tutoring method in all writing conferences; 3) demonstrated experience teaching or mentoring.
