Job Description

The candidate for this position will have strong writing skills and understand basic standards of journalism, such as careful research of subject matter and how to structure a news article. This position involves researching and writing profile articles of students, faculty, and alums, as well as reports on unique curricular activities. You will be given a varying amount of reference material and must be able to use basic information gathering techniques to fill in missing information in order to ensure full accuracy and transparency. The candidate for this position must be comfortable interviewing subjects in person as well as on the phone or through messaging and be able to work on occasion without direct supervision. Adherence to target deadlines is a must, however, scheduling can be flexible week-to-week.

Job Requirements

Candidates must submit relevant examples of their writing skills. They must be outgoing and able to cold call or email potential interview subjects. Experience writing for news or information sites a plus.
