Job Description

The Office of Professional Preparation Programs at Prescott College is a new office located in the Manzanita Building, and supports the daily operations, faculty, and staff in the following programs of study:

  • Environmental Education
  • Elementary Education
  • Secondary Education
  • Early Childhood Education
  • School Guidance Counseling
  • Educational Leadership
  • Special Education and;
  • Self-Directed Programs in Education 

We are currently seeking a part-time (20 hours/week) Certification Programs Assistant to support the Office by performing the following duties:

  • Collect, archive & organize department certification documents
  • Organize survey data collected by the Department
  • Assist at Education Events (Colloquium, Orientation, etc.)
  • Communication with stakeholders as needed by the Director
  • Collaboration with the Director of Professional Preparation Preparation Programs to complete department initiatives
  • Assist with program related projects as needed by Education Coordinators
  • Assist with data collection/organization for program certification with the Arizona Department of Education 
  • Organize and update department documents
  • Assist with basic program operations under direction of the Director of Professional Preparation Programs
  • Serve as positive ambassador for Education Programs
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements

The Program Assistant position requires:

  • Experience with data collection and organization
  • Strong diplomacy skills 
  • Adaptability to sudden change
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment
  • Collaborative personality
  • Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
  • Some experience with presenting data to stakeholders
  • Familarity with education preparation programs preferred, but not required
  • Professional ettiquette required
  • At least one year of program management experience preferred.
  • Education student preferred, but not required.
